need help with noisy SUMP?

i have a 3 ft sump under my 8ft tank. the sound is of water splashing on the coarse foam.<

>i have one layer of coarse foam followed by 1 layer of fine foam, then i have a bar that holds all that out of the water then under that i have bio balls in the water.<

mate just an idea to stop the noise..i have a drip tray with foam in top.. and i have elbows at the end of the tube and ive got no noise really wat so eva and when i had no elbows it would jsut gush out and make some sound<

Yea I''m dreading setting up my system in my room and finding out it gurgles like a toilet or something, then its going to be set up and I''m not going to be able to sleep  <

i decided to make everything submersable meaning all media and pipes going directly in water, however the noise is still there and i relised its not the dripping but the outtake going at full rate. im thinking of reducing my pump from 3500l/h to 3000l/h<
