ID and Price??

Hi all,

Picked these up last week at Annerley Aquarium as L. Speciosus. Not so sure they are....

Possibly Brevis?
If they are, what are Brevis worth?? Want to check to see if I've been ripped off - If so I'll just take em back and get a refund. They're 2-2.5cm.

If not Speciosus or Brevis, what do you think they are??

hey steve,
hows it going?? iam pretty sure they are brevis i have some L.specious and they are nothing like that :)...for brevis u are looking at 10-15$ at 3cm roughly ;)

G'day Luke, thanks mate for your input. I paid a fair bit more for them than that  :evil:

I understand buyer beware but just thought they were stressed out and pale considering the tank they were in at the LFS. Damn impulse buy!

Hey man,

yer i agree with luke they are brevis not L.Speciosus............L.Speciosus look nothing like that they are more black blotchy and shades of blue mid body not stripes like brevis.......any way if that helps look out next time there are some shit heads who ripp off or dont know wat fish they are......

It really was my own fault - I should know much better  :oops:  :oops:

If i'd taken a second look at them rather than going up to the tank, seeing L. Speciosus on the glass and only seeing two fish in the tank that could possibly be them (and they looked like boy and girl) and making the D straight away to buy em. 8)

I guess I just wasnt expecting N. Brevis to be there so my judgement was clouded. :roll:

Has anyone here supplied Annerley with Speciosus or Brevis recently?

Why not send annerley aquarium an email with the picture and ask them??

Let them know you bought them from there and I'm sure they'll let you know

Hey Cosmo - Meant to be the fish. I kept and bred them for 10 years, with one pair being prolific for 9 years before I had to sell them :( I hope they are still going strong!!
My avatar is the male of the pair.

Never done any tricks on a motor bike other than fall off and have a stick poking out of my leg. Not a trick I wish to repeat.....
