Finally i am going to get round to building a large sump for my tanks. Were can i find spray bars  or do most people make there own or is there better ulternatives to spray bars.............

trofius

Spray bars for the tank return or the sump?

for the tank i use the poly risers and an end cap and just drill holes in it, and they just screw into the return bulkheads easy as.

for the sump you can use a distribution plate, just a sheet of perspex or polyethylene( wont break as you are drilling it as easy) lots of holes .

or a spinning arm set up can also be made or bought but will cost a lot more, and do the same thing.

Mate irrigation shops should have all the stuff your after except for the polyethylene sheeting I'm pretty sure. That way you can compare the prices. Cheapest place I've found for irrigation stuff though is www.wetearth.com. Hope this helps.

Bryce.

Mate the irrigation shop at Strathpine has the parts for spinning arms. Just a bulkhead sort of fitting and all you need then is to drill out a piece of pvc and 2 end caps. If you want give me a call on 0404 072399 and we can organise a time to check out mine if thats what your after. Hope this helps.
