Hi, Anyone willing to pay $12,000 for 18K gold Asian Arowana.??? If you want to see it, it is in Aquarium Beyond, Darra. However, it is nice fish, but I do not think I am willing to pay this kind of money for one fish

ndoboi

But it's the perfect fish - sit back and admire it whenever without the concern of water changes, food, water parameters, will it beat up my other fish.....

Bit hard to breed though..

Paul

you wouldn' want it to die.

jamosfish

not bad markup i guess!!
Rumour has it that he paid under $4000 for it!

Luke39

why does it cost so much? i mean ive seen better looking fish than that...

REDs and others are a protected species and only lay about 20-30 eggs a year, i think.

All have micro chips and certs.

If it doesn't then it is not from a legal breeding farm.

Before everyone gets carried away - just confirm, this is an ornament right? An 18 carrat gold ornament of an Arowana??
That's how I read it anyway  8)

Silly me if im wrong and its a live fish......

Cheers
Steve

Schmuck

Silly you  :P Last I saw it didn't swim like a hunk of precious metal.. The 18K refers to the colour/grade of the fish.
