[b:a4fc5cf7cd]I had this posted on another forum, and seeing as there are still a few people who aren't sure how to post pics, it would be great if this could be stickied for easy reference for people in doubt.[/b:a4fc5cf7cd]

Ok,
Thought that this could help out those unsure of how to host and link photos to view in this section.
It'd be great if you mods could sticky this post.

Ok,
Step 1: You'll need a host for your photos, my recommendation is to use photobucket at www.photobucket.com.

Step 2: Register an account, once done goto the browse button on the middle of the add pictures screen, browse through your photo folders in windows to find the photo you desire.

Step 3: If you wish to add multiple pics just select the Submit Multiple Pictures window, and click on the appropriate number.

Step 4: Once you have selected all photos you wish to upload, hit the submit button.

Step 5: When your photos are uploaded, you will see the photo and there will be a web link (URL) to the photo. Highlight this URL and cut and paste (CTRL+C) it.

Step 6: When making a new post if you wish to add a photo, click on the Img button above the text window in which you type, and then paste the link (CTRL+V) and then close the Img code by clicking the Img button again.
The code should look like this:
Code:
[code:1:a4fc5cf7cd][img]www.photobucket.com/testphoto.jpg[/img] [/code:1:a4fc5cf7cd]

Your photos should come up no problem.

[u:a4fc5cf7cd]Do NOT try to link webshots photos![/u:a4fc5cf7cd] They will not work with the img codes.

Also for the sake of other users, especially those on dial-up internet, try to keep your photo size to a max of 800x600 pixels.

Hope that helps.

nemo - See:

It's a sticky in Trader, maybe should be on the general forum?

well, i hadn't visited here in a while, and seeing as most people are posting photos of their fish and tanks here in the general section and from some posts i've read, some people are still having trouble or are unaware how to do it.

If the mods don't want it here they can delete it, no skin off my nose.
