i will put it this way they are crap the the hoods are made from MDF so just immagine what happens with that and water. i bought one for my business for hiring Aquariums out it has never left my place it is on its second hood and third one comming this will be the last as i am going   for a refund next.
if you dont beleave me have a look at the one on the gold coast the shop is south of Nerang pet store sorry but cant remmember stores name was there yesterday. the new hood comming for me suppose to be up graded so we will see.

I haven't owned a 6ft but I have had smaller units in the past and recently purchased an AR620T.  I've always found them quite good except for the filter media it includes.  No big deal as I like to use my own media anyway.

Don't get them confused with the cheaper copies around.  A genuine 6ft Aqua One is quite expensive and not many places stock them.  They are a little restrictive on size as they are only 500mm deep which can be a little small for larger fish to turn around in but ok for a larger community of mid to small fish.

The hoods are all plastic and I have never seen MDF used in them.  The only down side is the opening around the hood is a bit small.  You have to remove the hood to reach into the tank to do gravel cleans.  The stands are MDF.  If you spill water over time the edges will warp a little over time.
