Hi
I had 11 very beautiful albino and normal B/N, and yes as it says I seemed to have killed them. Never before have I lost so many in one hit, I did a clean, water change and cleaned the filters all as I have done many times before. Only thing I changed is filter wool type
Could have been the water? Could have been the wool? Maybe something unseen?
Anyway I have lost all of my breeders and any others I had, at this stage I only have two males left (I hope) This syndrome has not affected any other fish in these four tanks????????????????????

Just thought I'd share.
Cheers Danae.

in the last 6 weeks i have lost 10 albinos and 5 orange spot. all water parameters were fine. fish were established for 3 months. i think it could be due to chemicals added to tap water by council???????

Hi Danae,
Not saying this was your cause as many other factors could have casued it. Though likey, I dont recommend changing the water and changing you filter media in one go.
In future change your water one day and filter another day. Changin all in one day can have great impact on your biological system as you are removing so much good bacteria required to break down all the bad. Next time feeding comes you could(did) have undesire consequences!??
