i was just lucky to get mine to breed! you need,
-a male
-a female
-a tank
-good quality water
-and something for the female to hide in like barnacle shells or a cave or some sort...

the rest is up to the fish. unless you try catching them out and rubbing their vents together...  im not recommending that tho..

thanks mick,

we usually go down to byron markets for something to do, but it'll probably be a while till the next one, due to chrissy etc. but i'll definitely check it out, thanks mate. ive got a 3 footer becoming free soon and two 2 footers free now and thinking of setting things up. how'd you go setting things up or did they breed in a community tank etc etc etc. i'm v interested in learning what it takes to breed these great looking fish (and gold comps etc)

cheers
