Personal Profiles

This post is a general response to continual requests and general feedback for all forum users:<
>Due to an overwhelming number of requests, feedback and complaints, it has been decided that users of the QLD CICHLID forum must have their personal profiles meet some minimum requirements. <
><
>These minimum requirements are: FIRST NAME, LOCATION and EMAIL ADDRESS or ACTIVE INBOX.<
><
>We initially trialed this on the trader section and found several beneficial effects including a closer-knit and more helpful online forum community, better social interacton between members when meeting in person and far less flame wars without any reduction in the rate of new members.<
><
>Consequently we have decided to extend these minimum profile requirements right accross the whole forum which will affect all remaining non-compliant, global (other forums) and infrequent users. What we would like to see is all frequent forum users help us by keeping an eye out and politely informing any members (new or otherwise) what is missing and how to fill in these minimum requirements. Several forum users are already doing this which makes the moderators jobs much easier and is greatly appreciated.<
><
>OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION<
>In the instance of disputes and disagreements, please do not continue to post greviances publicly. QLD FORUM would like members to either email or  PM directly with each other to sort out disagreements in private. Often it is a simple misunderstanding. Any communication you receive (privately) that you are unhappy with can still be reported to moderators. While we are not interested in taking sides or determining who is right or wrong, we will consider banning members if we recieve numerous and substantiated complaints. Any such complaints should get emailed to Wayne (WRK21)   wayne.kemp@bigpond.com <
><
>There are also Terms and Conditions of the forum that all members should read. One of these is a ''commercial entity'' clause. If you require clarification on this or have any sponsorship inquiries, seeking information or any other related queries, please direct these to Glenn -Arowanaman -  carlya@ozemail.com.au<
><
>Any forum problems or general usage queries such as posting pictures, adding custom signatures, links, how to, etc can be emailed to Shane (Shane007)

>Any posts you consider distasteful or think should be removed can be emailed to Winston -  aquaholic99@hotmail.com or to which ever moderator you currently see online at the time.<
><
>Finally I would like to point out the suggestion forum which was created in the interests of providing a better service tailored to what forum users wanted. Please feel free to make any constructive comments or criticisms you might have. Moderators can also be emailed directly if you do not wish to post publicly.<
><
>In summary:<
>====================================================================<
>- Please help all non compliant profile posters by letting them know what is missing and how they can do it.<
