Title: Bait for the fish
Post by: superfreakvc10 on August 16, 2005, 07:18:06 AM
I sell bait at my work and the other day I brought home some  to feed to my fish I new they would take the prawns but the went spastic for the squid, just loved it. They won't have a problem digesting it do you think? It's more for a treat so it's not like the bulk of their diet. I only fed it to my adult Vc10s so no mbuna what you think?

just don't buy it from woolies - i remember reading someones post and their fish all got poisoned by it (and no not cos they were vegetarians ) they got a biopsy and took it back to woolies - what a story heh, suppose to be for human consumption and you can't even feed it to your fish! Anyway I feed mine white bait every now and again and they loves it  :D

If you ask the people at woolies to read the box most stuff comes in it states on the side "Not suitable for aquarium pets".
i work in a woolies seafood department and i feed my fish the prawn meat from work and they love it. Just have to watch some products because the chemicals to keep it looking fresh is harmful to fish but fine for human consumption
