Just wanted to get some feed back on some questions i have guys. will keeping shellies in a 2 foot tank be ok and would they
eed in a 2footer? are they very aggresive? towards them selves or other shell dwellers and also are they slow growers. sorry if they are dumb q''s but ive never kept them before. cheers
ad.
There are many different types of "shellies" all with differing needs. For your 2ft tank I would go either Ocellatus, Brevis or Multis. They are the most commonly found and are thus not outrageously expensive. There are also Hecqui which do grow larger how ever. They all require an Alkaline PH and a sand substrate is best IMO. <

>Out of the 3 I would say Ocellatus are the most aggressive and have the most attitude to them. Multis are my personal favourite however, they are easy to
eed and multiple lots of fry can be kept in the same tank. None of the 3 grow to big either. They grow quite slowly but remembering they do not get very large. Mixing shellies is not advised in such small tanks so you should only keep one type in there<

>A Pair or Trio of 1 type of the 3 would be fine in your 2fter. It may not seem like many fish but once they
eed they never seem to stop and they will quickly over populate your tank.<

>Thats just what I think so here are some article links in regards to the 3 species<
