Title:
Post by: ashhhh on August 29, 2005, 02:22:47 PM
ok, smartarse you win

...............seeing as though this is primarily an ....erm cichlid and freshwater fish forum,
would anyone else agree that marine species should be eliminated from the game?

Yeah I know one of my fish was a marine, but I think more people would be willing to have a go, cause it seem as though once it is guessed that its a marine fish, not many people continue to guess.

Its kinda boring being 1 of only a few people that do have a guess. It would be a hell of alot  more interesting, even if only 1/4 of the members on this forum had a go

- and no, Im not chucking a tantrum cause I didnt win 8)

just a friendly suggestion ! :D
Title:
Post by: Davies da fishman on August 29, 2005, 08:32:50 PM
hehe, yeh, thats not a bad idea ash.
so do i get to do another one??? or wot happens?
Title:
Post by: nemo1981 on August 29, 2005, 08:43:53 PM
i managed to guess a saltwater one once, however i think it'd be a good idea to keep it to freswater & cichlids as ashh has suggested.

Yeah so everyone agress Matt wins
So as long as everyone is happy with me sponsoring this competition Im happy to provide some vouchers for the winners
So how does a $20 voucher for anyone who can go a full week un-guessed

What does everyone think about this discussion regarding marine fish?

Either way im happy to sponsor the competition though maybe some more interested will be achieved with a freshwater/brackish species only

Brad

All sounds good to me brad. :D

ps what fish were you thinking of davies?
Title:
Post by: Dyce on August 30, 2005, 04:40:50 PM
Another thing(although I think desty can only help with it) is if there were more posts per page, going through 4 ages of questions and answers on this board was the equivalent of about two on the other board. Just saves you getting muddled.

i dont imput into these threads by guessing but always read them to see what i can learn so i dont know if i qualify to comment but

[quote:7f899ae382]What does everyone think about this discussion regarding marine fish? [/quote:7f899ae382]

i personally am only interested in freshwater and cichlids as ash did suggest but their are two other forums - freshwater species and saltwater species that you may be able to utilise somehow to include marine fish.
its just a thought

also
[quote:7f899ae382]maybe some more interest will be achieved with a freshwater/brackish species only [/quote:7f899ae382]
on my behalf its not interest i lack its just knowledge....

Title:
Post by: ashhhh on September 01, 2005, 08:31:00 PM
erm, maybe you should have givin some hints so someone could have guessed it? like - are [i:30876d3f43]you[/i:30876d3f43] supposed to keep going untill its guessed cause now no-one (really) guessed it and you won and you've told the answer - who thinks of a fish now?
- I hope that makes sense   :?
