Title: curvy barras
Post by: mani on August 23, 2005, 06:26:42 PM
I have seen quite a few barras who seem to have this. The body curves up from the stomach area. Is it a disease??

here is a pic

No.

It means they haven't been fed in a while.

a few days without food anf they'll look like that they seem to digest food very fast and it goes strait to growth rather than storing it.

Did  you notice whether have have Frankenstiens jaw development? If so, it's definitely Kurts syndrome.  Check out the top dorsal fin and see if there's any deformity. If so, then you have a specially produced deformed fish which will never get better, regardless of how much food you throw at it- best for fare.
