Title: Automatic fish-feeders?
Post by: Director12 on September 06, 2005, 07:36:27 AM
HI all,

Just wondering if those things are any good as we have to go away for a few days.

Cheers

They are very good...

I've been using mine for about a year without a failure... The fish get their meal on time and an appropriate amount as well... and you have less to worry about...

I fill up once a week and forget about it...

I got mine at Age of Aquariums for $29.

Cheers

they're ok, it does the job while your away but be sure to check it regularly if you want to use it all the time. We used ours for a weekend while we were away and when we came back it had mold growing in it. I guess the condensation with the flakes wasn't a good mix. Also trial it on the different settings a couple of times cos our worked fine for the first spin and then hardly anything came out the second time around. Other than that its a good investment.

If you have mature fish in good health they should survive a few days with no problem at all. I have left well fed fish for a week with no problems.
