Lewis if you allready have a tank running at home that has happy fish in it you are half way there you can cheat like me grab like a good amount of the filter media out of the tank allready running and put it into the new filter you are about to put into the new tank and then it will nearly do it over night well it will do it fast. <

>Also you can Use gravel and water from tank that are allready going well this all helps. or cleaning your older filter in the tank helps thats why i allways have at least 2 filters on a tank as i can grab one off if i get new tank and it will genraly be all good strait away. <

>Or you can try some of the products avalibul but i have found even the best of them not to be anywhere near as good as older filters with happy bactiria in them. <

>Also tossing in some gold fish helps they will live in anything and help cycle it fast. <
