Can anyone please advise me where is the best place to obtain the above??

Some aquarium outlets stock "aquarium peat" otherwise garden centers stock it, though most also have fertilisers added, this may or may not be good. Aquarium peat is also 5-10 the price of garden center peat. HTH

I get mine from a produce store and use searles brand as they don't use chemical in their peat.
