Post by: aussieguy870 on October 12, 2005, 05:56:04 PM
gidday all
got a qs for any 1 who uses this
i bought some today in a bag from a nursery, but on the back it says
" may contain  traces  of fertilizers"
my question is would this still be safe to use in my water for my fish?
just not sure as it also has like on all garden soli etc products , the dangers of getting legionaires disease etc etc

dont want to go using it if its no good,
and if any 1 knows where to get it from where it is safe to use
cheers
sean

I use a regular garden store peatmoss with no problems. It has all the drama about may contain .... The only warning it doesnt have is the traces of fertilers, my guess there is that company also deals with fertilers and it may have some there, you should be right, just like I havnt found any peanuts in my cornflakes even though kellogs tells me there may be.

PS if your concerned about the legeonaires etc pop down to crazey clarkes and grab a pack of face masks for $2
