The confusion starts already

The fish available in Bris at the moment are L168, Zonancistrus pulcher,,,,"Butterfly pleco"  one importer has them wrongly called "Clown pleco" which is a different fish altogether

L104....Panaqolus maccas is the "Clown plecco"

Alan,

From what i have seen and bought, the Panaque Maccus has already come in under the L168, Zonancistrus pulcher,,,,"Butterfly pleco" name.....

From all of the L168 i have seen in shops now i am still to find ONE "butterfly plec". What i mean is that i have not found one that looks like the true butterfly or flounder plec, thick white/yellow and black bands!

I believe that we are going to be getting in most of the peckoltia family as the L168.

Jamos,

Just did a quick flick thriugh Aqualog and counted 32 species that could pass for L168 without even stretching the imagination   :(

Goodness knows what sort of a mess we will find ourselves in if they all come in under the one lable.
