ive been trying to get it onto pellets so i have been doin it for months and beef heart too.

But it will only eat blood worm and prawns!!! aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. Will it get sick??? because it doesnt have a balanced diet.. or is prawn and blood worm sufficient?

Best way to get it to eat pellets, is pretend to be smarter than the fish. The way to do this is to get a nice big prawn, slit a little hole in its gut and slip a pellet in there, voila balanced diet.
Another is to soak pellets in prawn juice for a while, I had a fussy Jack that used to like these.
Also try some squid and frozen whitebait, the old Jack used to love these as an occasional treat.

My barra is bout 54cm and gets stopppy easy. When i give him live food he hammers it.Then i feed the other fish there normal pellets and he won't touch them, and after a week he gets so damn hungry he will eat the pellets. The longest he's been able to hang out is ten days ,his normal diet is pellets though but they can go a while without food if in good nick. Its happened to me a dozen times or so, he gets hungry and says well if other fish eat it so will i . Hope it works out k.
