Post by: firemouthkid on November 08, 2005, 09:31:01 PM
hi all,

was wanting to set up a display/breeding tank and needed some fish to house it.

I thought i would have a go at breeding tropheus duboisi/ikola so if anyone has a display tank full of them or breeds them, could you please let me know some info?

just remember tropheus  are agresive little buggers the more the better they are. i have around 20 in a 4x2x2 with heaps of hidy  holes with no problems.

I would say try one or the pther. Both groups together doesn't work as well. As gas nitro said go for as many as you can afford the more the better

gas nitro is absoloutely right.
the more the better. and if you have around 20 try to have about 3 males.

make sure you have at least 2 males as the dominant one will pick on the subdominant instead oh harrasing your girls.

id reccomend ikola as alot of people breed duboisi but not many people have ikolas

cheers
