Last night I was
owsing a post on another forum, it was to do with a newb asking about checking and testing water parameters etc.. anyways, someone replying claimed that they could tell by sight, when there pH had shifted?! (without a test kit and by only looking at the tank), to me this seems abit far fetched. I have been keeping fish for quite awhile and by touching the side of my tank I can get a ''general'' idea of the temperature in the tank, but being able to tell of a pH change by sight? personally I dont think it would be possible and is a load of crap, but I may be wrong.....? Cheers<

usually if the water turns a yellowish shade-tinge usually means the ph has droped unless you have something in the tank to turn it yellow hope it helps<

Maybe he has wood leeching tannins, which indicates a lower pH, or his water turns poo color and drops in pH when he doesnt clean it.
or maybe the other forum in full of ****<
