I'll bet you an Electric Yellow that it missed those flamin dams again. They must have contracted an Arab to build them bastards, right in the driest part of the South East desert.
I've been watching those BOM maps for weeks, doesnt matter which way the rain comes, it just goes straight around the bloody dams.
Theo

PS: Hang on I take that back about the Yellow, I'll take him up to the Whitsundays on Saturday, or should that be Sunday.

yes theo
with all the rain that has been coming our way you would think that the dams would be over flowing, but the gold coast dam is still only at 77%.

The missus and I went for a drive around Somerset and Wivenhoe dams on the weekend. I think she was under the misconception as are most people that this rain is filling them up. She was finally able to see that all this rain is doing is maintaining what we are using.

Here's 1 for you's as well regarding water useage. Someone close to home was at a work meeting which included some people high up in 1 of the government departments. It was stated by this person that we were previously using some ridiculous amount of water hence the need for restrictions. Now we are at stage 2 restrictions which is a reduced water consumption rate however people are either under the misconception that stage 3 restrictions are in place and useage is just under that level of water useage or people are being extremely frugal with their water useage which you'd think would be applauded. But no the government is now missing out on revenue and there has been talk and possibly disscussion regarding increasing taxes on water useage to make up what they are currently missing out on. Good to see they don't miss an opportunity.
Cheers,
Bryce.
