Title: Which type of air pump?
Post by: davez104 on December 14, 2005, 07:41:22 PM
Hi all,
Looking to get an airpump soon, something around 50lpm, nothing too huge. Just wondering the pro's and con's of say the electromagnetic type pumps over something like a Resun lp style pump, the lp's are dearer, are they better?
Thanks for your help.
Dave.

The lp style pumps run big rubber diaphrams, and as such are virtually silent.....did you here Llyods? lp150, i have just bought a lp90 and it is very quiet, cant wait to get it hooked up.

I think the extra cash is worth it for a pump you can live with.

Hi dave,

resum lp's last way longer too, i have gone through i think now 5 of the electromagnetic ones in the 4 years up here.

if you can find a 2nd hand sungukawa like i did (once bought a whole setup for $1200 just to get it :) they are the best by far, resun's bloody good these days too though champ, cannot go wrong with one hey.

Cheers,

Andrew.
