Title: Cyrtocara moorii Question
Post by: Konigwolf 13 on July 24, 2005, 11:45:00 PM
We are in the process of setting up a new 6'' community tank. I know not much about africans except most people say, african tanks only and or high PH tanks. Is this true or could I have a Cyrtocara Moorii (blue dolphin) in a tank of large community fish? with Ph set 7-7.5<

We have a pair of dolphins in a 150gal tank. Tank mates include oscars, silver sharks, plecos, acara, geophagus
asiliensis, convict,and
eeding humpheads (yes they continue to
eed even with the oscars swimmung around) and the dolphins are very happy...even trying to
eed. PH is around 7-7.4. <

>The angels and the gourami (depends on what type tho) may or may not be alright but you can get away with some strange combinations in a 6ft tank  <

Some moorii are placid, some can get hyperdominant, if you were just thinking one fish I''d go for a female. but then you''d have to get one that''s sexable.. another can of worms.
