Title: frontosa mouthful help wtd
Post by: creter on January 16, 2006, 08:42:31 PM
hi all shes had one mouthful before since ive had her, swallowed after a couple of days.Is there any reason not to strip her early and bubble them apart from the fact they take so long to form.would you use metholyne blue in with the eggs to help stop them going bad over this period. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well normally they do swallow there first mouthfull but by the second or third mouthfull they tend to keep there eggs for longer. But its up to you what you want to do hope this helps.

decide to strip ,she had about sixty to seventy eggs, lost all but five in the fist two days.i think the air bubbles were to harsh turned them down to a trickle and have had no further problems with the five left.they have still got there eggsacks but must be about two weeks now and are looking good. thanks for the help and i did use the methylene blue.
