Title: Dodgy Bris water today
Post by: GTR73 on March 04, 2006, 10:03:04 AM
****WARNING****
Went to do my water changes this morning and noticed the water has quite a few black particles floating in it.
Tried various taps around the house and same result, so I'm guessing the water treatment plants Nth side Brisbane must be struggling with the extra run-off from the rain this week.

So if in Brisbane area be very careful with your water changes today (maybe not do them today at all), and be sure to use extra water condititioner. Might pay also to treat water seperately before adding to the tanks (which is what I do anyway).

cheers.

I know Brisbane shire water is crap but never had any dramas with water here in the Pine Shire. I did water changes during the rains here on Saturday night and Sunday morning through a purifier and never had a drama. I checked the water from the tap 1st and had no smells or crap in it. Since doing the water changes we've had Black Calvus and Rivulatus preparing to spawn and the Brichardi are now sitting on another batch of eggs.
Cheers,
Bryce.
