Title: Marine setup
Post by: on July 18, 2005, 10:03:00 AM
Hi I have just bought a marine tank 6X2X2 I have a few bits of live rock in there two anemones and one tomato clown. I am just wondering what fish are good to start off with and are reef destroying fish. Also wondering if I can add more live rock in the future without harming the fish? Where is a good place to buy live rock and fish at a good price? And are there any other marine sites such as this one?<

Adding live rock is normally beneficial as it acts as a filtration system for your tank. Just beware that what is attached to the live rock is going in to your system and any bugs will go to the tank. That being said just check the source of the live rock.<

>There is a guy in Brisbane that sells live rock and fish at reasonable prices - can''t remember his details though - I am sure someone on here will know him. He dives for all his own product.<

adding live rock is not a problem as long as it has been cured properly the more lr the better in your tank<
>if by reef friendly fish you mean ones that eat coral stay away from butterfly fish and some angels go to river city aquatics at cannon hill to get some great fish and the best advice also by a book called reef secrets it has all the info on most fish and corals<
