hey lee
you might not hafta strip her cos electric blues are good mothers.  this is what i do, i let the female to hold her eggs for 2 weeks, do a waterchange on my small fry tank up with about 80% water from the main tank so the female and fry dont get stressed out too much when you move them. catch the female out of the main tank and float her in a bag in the small tank. sometimes my electric blues spit a couple out in the bag but they all survived... i think. you can strip her if you want or if she looks too unhealthy from not eating, but she should be ok to hold them til theyre ready. then after she spits them make sure you feed her up and remove any uneaten food from the tank, i have left the females in the fry tank with their babies for a cpl of days before without seeing her trying to eat any..

i have stripped a few of my females before and i jus do as i said above and catch the female in a large net then hold her with your thumb and index finger from the top on each side of the mouth then gently squeeze, this will open her mouth and force the babies out. be careful tho you dont want to stress her out too much cos she hasnt eaten in two weeks and is very fragile...

hope this helps good luck

i just hold the gills closed with thumb and forefinger and use a cotton tip thing to hold the lower jaw open and they all come out quite easily
