Title: $12,000 for Fish??
Post by: silverarowana on April 02, 2006, 02:48:50 PM
Hi, Anyone willing to pay $12,000 for 18K gold Asian Arowana.??? If you want to see it, it is in Aquarium Beyond, Darra. However, it is nice fish, but I do not think I am willing to pay this kind of money for one fish

But it's the perfect fish - sit back and admire it whenever without the concern of water changes, food, water parameters, will it beat up my other fish.....

Bit hard to breed though..

REDs and others are a protected species and only lay about 20-30 eggs a year, i think.

All have micro chips and certs.

If it doesn't then it is not from a legal breeding farm.

Silly you  :P Last I saw it didn't swim like a hunk of precious metal.. The 18K refers to the colour/grade of the fish.
