Could be mistaken for a bath.
Yea would make a good spa bath, but abit bigger than a normal bath, close to 900 Litres.
Difference is I can lift and move it by myself when its empty, it has a lid aswell, but doesnt look much with it on.
What sort of price?
They dont cost me a thing, but i guess if you got them made probably close to $600-650, abit more than an 8x2x2, but yea, cost me nothing.
hehe looking good mate...give us a clal b4 you come n drop my ones of will ay :P remember that 4 of em you are getting made for me
cheers

do u have any idea on prices for em??
cheers luke
hmm, maybe i can con my dad into making some for the fish lovers 8)
time to learn the art of fibreglass me thinks! :D
You could make them alot cheaper, no gelcoat (the white stuff) which cuts abit off the cost, and make them quite thin green skins. (mirky blue ones)
But i would want to reenforce them with steel, then you up the work and the cost, and they arnt that portable with steel glassed to them. Still you cant break them, can throw them off the back of a ute, and they last for 50 years.
Any idea on the price of the ones you want to import Cory Fan?
Cheers Linda
still working on it!!!
don't you have to use some special epoxy, not just the "standard" fibreglass gel?
no standard fibreglass resin is fine, just have to leave it for a few days after it has been made for the styrene to disapate.
I was looking at doing fibrglass over ply wood but use a window in the front does silicon stick to fibreglass is my question or the other way fibreglass stick to glass. My other idea was to coverp/styrene fish boxes in either fibreglass or a sealant as I have a ready supply of these and they hold between 45-50L of water depending on the size would this work. But I think your one is great grum.
Yea the next one im going to be putting windows in it, just going to leave a 20mm lip for the glass to sit on all the way around, scuff up the fibreglass with some sand paper and get alot of silicone and slap it in there, Putting the glass on the inside of the tank so the water pressure holds it against the fibreglass, not pushing away.
But for this im planning on re-enforcing the front with steel, just to make sure the fibreglass doesnt flex, thats the only time you will break the silicone seal.
You could use foam boxes quite easy, just need to use a water based paint and put 5 or 6 good coats on the box before putting the fibreglass on, That will stop the fibreglass eating through the walls. Would work pretty good to, would be like an esky, cool in summer and warm in winter.
