Thats some nice penny pinching there cory fan.
What are you planning to use it for??
Nice handywork :D
Cheers
Steve
I personally wouldnt trust having my fish in a styrene box for a long period of time, after all mcdonalds stopped using it for there food and drink boxes becuase of potential health risks from the styrene leaking out over only a few hours into the food.
Dont think i would trust a weekly water change to keep those levels down, and it has been linked to intestinal tract infections and kidney failure in humans.
But saying that, some convicts might like it lol.
Did you paint the in side
Because I find they do tend to leak over time or sweat
looks great :D
I've been planning on trying a similar thing,
but using a plastic storage box,
on sale at Kmart, like $13 for 90L
plastic might be safer than polystyrene
congrats on reaching tight-arse status. but hey good on you for trying something different.
ps. grum is right...the boxes leach some dangerous chemicals over time but with the right filtration media you will be sweet.
