Live food, brine shrimp, white worms.
I use frozen mysis shrimp to as part of the diet.
Try & source some barnacle shells. I find they work great. or anuthing the female can get into but not the male. Becareful with shells have had the odd alto get stuck.
Maybe try and find another female or 2.
Add a dither fish or 2. I use guppies with the whites, congos with the fire fins. Guppies are good as they offer another source of food too. Congos well I had to fire male is a bastard, smashes everything.

How long have you had them for? They are easily old enough to be breeding.

Do a google search on breeding alto's, plenty of info about too.
