Title: fussy eater
Post by: mani on May 07, 2006, 11:48:00 PM
i have a saratoga leichardti - which i purchased from a farm. Thing is it took me bloody ages and i mean months on end, to get it off the live food and onto frozen prawns.

Ive had it for at least a year and a half now - problem is it will not eat pellets. It only eats frozen prawns (i do stuff pellets into the prawns).

will it ever eat pellets ? is there something else i can do!!!!! - didnt kno a fish could be so retarded.

thanks in advance guys ! :D

More to the point why do you want it on pellets, as another option or to use as i staple diet as they are much livelier & happier on live food or prawns/whitebait/pilly's i've found.

reason why i wont to get it onto pellets is for convenience. - all the other fish in the tank happily eat pellets.

yeh so i would like to get it onto pellets and feed it other stuff as a treat.

Sometimes you can't get the fish to eat what you want to feed it. Toga's are a prime example, like Barra's, cichla...these are predators..

May be more a case of keeping the fish happy here.
