Title: Ways to sell fry?
Post by: konigwolf on May 28, 2006, 10:36:39 AM
Ok my feeder cichlids, oops I mean convicts have spawned again but yet again i didnt save the fry   , on the other hand my wife insisted I save her blue acara's first spawn, so I have 3 dozen+ little things happily swimming around and I'm about to seriously try my hand at breeding dwarf ciclids and RTBS. I was wondering the best way to sell them. Here would only be a few if any and the odd super auction would be a few as well, with stores would it best to approach individual stores one by one or try a supplier?

Andrew

PS Yes I know darn little money (if any) is to be made, I'm doing it for the challenge - even more so with the RTBS

You could do any of the ways you have mentioned if you have a good relationship with a couple of stores try them. I did notice jodie leas post in the freshwater heading she is looking for that kind of stuff. But there are a lot of options if you look. Please note though don't expect to get the same money from a wholesaler as you would from a store or privately.

I sorta realize this, as I said I'm not really in it for the $ (it would be nice :) ) I'm a sook would find it hard using my own fish as feeders

Will be trying other options first, btw thanks for info
