Great article. But to cut a long story short, does anyone knows if good ol' Melafix is also an effective and more natural alternative?

If there not breeding tanks, I would use a UV, internal or external, but if they are breeding tanks i wouldnt personally, as shops can have trouble keeping the fry alive when moved to normal conditions.

My understanding is that while Melafix is handy for repairing the damage done to the fish while the "ich" is feeding on it, it won't kill the organism itself. My personal experience has been that when medication is required, Waterlife Protozin is very effective.
