little fronnie about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in group of 11 has developed what maybe early bloat. Hes not floating funny or having any difficulties, but hes stomach looks distended compared to other and is a little bit pailer. Any one got any remedies, im going to skip a day of food and see what happens temp is up around 28 and water is all good. but if anyone else has any other idea id be happy to listen thanks peter
What are you feeding them and how much.
could try some epsom salt in your water as well.
but i would be looking for the cause. fixing the problem is better than any remedy
a mixture or tetra bits good flake frozen brin some alge disks and frozen blood worms the others are cool jus this one has a bad case of wind i think ive heard different things about frozen blood worms but never had problems with fronnies before peter
i would be not feeding blood worms IMO
try some epsom salts and pool salts as well 1 cup of each per 100G's or per 400L
have you changed food latly?
blood worms are a no no for africans.
ok ill drop the worms, he seems to be holding his own and im only feeding a little flake and tetra bits. he still can swim ok isnt floating and stomach looks smaller. got fingers crossed. dammn its hard to work this stuff out sometimes, i was always told blood worms were ok. But i trust you guys more, things change over the years. thanks for the input peter
glad he is doing ok for you
any updates is it 100% now better ?
stick to brine or mysis shrimp
looks bit better still a bit bloated but no sign of the scales beginning to stick out. dropped the worms and just kept it simple. hes still shy but comes out for food, changed em into their new 6x2x2 so im hopping that will help. thanks for all the info, still annoyed aboutt he blood worms, but ill stick to brine and other good quality pellets. tks for all the help ill see if i can get a pic and post
