3-1 Australia v Japan.
How good were those last two goals!!!!!

Anyone else think Japan's goal shouldnt have been allowed???

Awesome game

Yeah I dont think it should have been allowed but Schwarzer didnt time his run very well and wasnt really that close to the ball

Cahill should have been penalised about 1 min after scoring the first goal when he took out the striker at the other end so it nearly makes it even in the end
But with Australia possesion and shots at goals that are deserved the win

Spot on guys. It was a great game, a real nail biter. I don't think a hollywood writer could have written a better script.

So with Australia one win up, would a loss to Brazil and a win over Croatia pretty much get them thru to the next round? How many table points for a Draw?

If we get a win over Croatia and Brazil win all 3 games we will get through to the next round as Croatia and Japan could only have a possible 1 win
So as long as Brazil beat them both we should have a really good chance
But a draw against Brazil and a win over Croatia would be enuff to make sure of it

Great game. The continous whinge about the ref blunder, kept me watching. It was like I wanted the Aussies to score like everyone else I guess. To make up for the blunder & to shut that bloody Japanese crowd up. Like hello, great goal you lot scored. :roll:

Well done to the aussies, I loved the way how class showed through at the end. Surely there must be a socceroo thats is part kiwi, or is friends with a kiwi. Gotta find a reason from somewhere. :lol:
