Post by: brad282 on June 27, 2006, 11:54:57 AM
I have just recently bred common bristlenose for the first time and guess im enjoying it and was wanting to get some diff breeds. are the other breeds such as albino, orange spot and peppermint harder to breed?? i heard pepperments are very hard. Also can u keep them in tanks together or will they tend to cross breed?? any help would be great guys..

hey mate albinos breed pretty much as easy as commons mine are actually breeding more at the moment. orange spot from what i have been told only breed pretty much when they want to although people have them breed constantly and peppermints are harder but as long as you monitor the water conditions and feed them right they too will breed frequently. but for ease other then common albinos are the easiest to breed. this is all in my opinion and my experiences but others might have other experiences. thanks.

Do a seach of Sydney Cichlid Page or ACE forums. there is plenty of info there. I think there is a heap of info here aswell. Just a matter of digging.

Cheers Mitch
