Constructive tip for photographing fish, don't use auto focus as it will focus on the closes object the glass! use manual over-ride to focus on the subject :P
those 'caroles' look very nice! very colourful & distinct markings.
but... forgive my ignorance... but what are they? i've never seen them in aquariums before. are they freshwater or marine?
p.s. photos look fine to me.. bit blurry but they tell the tale.

Thanks Ray for your comments about my fish - glad you are happy with them - are the females still holding? - hope so - and you will soon have some cute little babies !!!! - I usually strip the females at around 2 weeks holding.
demOn - the scientific name for these fish is Astatotilapia latisfasciata - commonly called Crimson Tides - and you are right - they are not often seen in the lfs.
The females are equally attractive as the males with their black and white stripes but the males get the lovely red and yellow colouring on the body when they reach breeding age - and it appears they breed quite young !!!!
They are currently on the Red List - that is they are now considered an endangered species in the wild - and for that reason, it is very rewarding for me to know that my fish are going to good homes where they will be well cared for - and breed on !!!!!
I DO endeavour to breed quality fish - and am about to post in the Breeders Register all of the species I am currently breeding.
From small beginnings some 18months ago, Graham and I now have over 40 tanks and are currently breeding some 18-20 species of Africans.

To a couple of people that PM's me in regards to the harsh comments from Wrk21 (Wayne) I dont think wayne was being nasty or taking the piss out of me in a malicious way (I hope not :wink: ) This was all taken in light humour, my response or so i thought was also in light humour as i dont think people really meet and shoot each other at dawn anymore?? :lol: I may be mistaken, I am a slack photographer, i sit next to my computer and just press the button, i dont even think i see what i am taking a photo of most of the time, then i download and post!!!!!!
Benji: The orange fish is Ps Salousi, very nice little fish,,,,,,,,, Carole the little girls are holding 4 in all, fisrt couple of times around they will be calvus or comp food, as i like to let the newies go natural the ist few times until they get alittle larger, then i will strip.
So peeps enjoy our fish and slightly left of centre humour!!!! :)
