Title: New tanks at the Sharks Club
Post by: Robert1964 on July 22, 2006, 12:29:02 AM
I was doing some work at the SHARKS (South Port) this week.

In the NEW entry there are two tanks 3m x 3m x 1.5mH and the other is biger I'd say 3m x 4.5m x 1.5mH with 60-70cm reef sharks in it.

Looks nice!

-"and good food too

Hey fancy that, sharks in a tank at the Sharks footy club.
I wonder who set that up for them? I remember the Adrenaline bar in Brisbane had a cool looking shark tank, but the sharks always got sick! (funnily enough - something about too many well-intentioned drunks tipping their beers or vodka cruisers into the tank)

Out of interest, there's a 4ft African tank set up recently at the Albion pub. All juveniles, a couple of Crabro and E.yellows for certain but as most fish were young I really couldn't ID most of them. Seemed a strange place for a public display aquarium. I don't think the bar-flies and pokie junkies would really bother paying attention to it. I got several strange looks from patrons just for walking up to it and checking it out.
The only reason I was there myself was I'd gone in looking for topless barmaids while waiting for our Firday night Thai takeaway (there were no topless barmaids - a vicious rumour - just an angry looking barman with Celtic tatoos covering both arms)
