hi just a question can boar water be used in aquariums. if so what chemicals will i have to use if any. thanks.
should not be a problem just check your ph hardness and salt content
Hi
Our town water here in cambooya is straight out of bores and all i use is a bit of chlorine neutraliser and all my africans love it
Cheers Nick
you may want to find out what disolved minerals are in the water to see if any will adversely affect your fish, or purify it.
Have your bore water quality tested before going to the expense of installing the bore.
Some have excellent quality bore water and other areas are terrible.
If after testing its Ok go for it, but aerate heavily before putting through fish tanks as it has a very high CO2 content.

thats interesting, could be great for planted tanks.......
A nother problem you might come across is the water might be soft
So u mught have to add some bi carb to bring up the hardness

I have a bore with 7.9 out of the ground! I don't do anything except chlorine nutralise just in case & I have absolutely no problems at Wamuran.

A couple of the bigger breeders I know that use bore water have plant ponds which they pump the bore water into and then pump into the fish tanks a couple of days later.
The plants grow very well!!.
