Hiya me little mate, buddy pal, long time no see, we should do golf soon mate!!!!! Hows the missus and the kids??? thats right no missus no kids,,,,,,,, sorry Nick i was juss messin wit ya in the forum now i feel like i am GUNNA CRY
But back to reality, Neo's, occies, i keep mine in a 3x2x15, each colony consists of around 10 adult fish, this works best for me, i have heard alot of peeps only have a pair or trio, but this has neva worked well for me, my water is fairly hard out of the tap, i neva buffer the water at all neva have, i go for stability, i do age my water in a tank that seems to help FOR ME! :P i have alot of hidy holes around the place, java moss seems to settle them down, and i like alot of duckweed on the water surface, thats all i do, nothing fancy at all, when they spawn, i leave the littlies with the parents for alittle while week or so, then i syhon out the juvies and raise in a 1ft cube tank with 2 homemade sponge filters, i feed them hatched baby brine, homemade foods, and crushed flake
Thats all for now Nick
PLEASE TALK TO ME AGAIN  lOVE YA YA LITTLE NUGGET
hey ray, thnx for the info, i can only house them in a 2x1x1, so im thinking ill try one male and 2 females.....no idea what ratio for that tank
In a 2 foot tank
If it is Multies - throw in about 6. More the merrier. And just let them go until there are too many in the tank. then strip and get rid of some babies.
Occies and Brevis I think the Male is grumpier to trio or pair.
Have lots of shells - they like to have a choice and more places for next generation to set up house.
Need a substrate as they like to dig - Multis just dig like they want to reach china. Brevis dig with a purpase and want there shell at just the right angle.
All the rest never had.

Steve
i had about 6 or 7 in a 2ft tank with lots of shells and they were fine
breed after 2 weeks (and i only wanted them for a display) so i sold the adult rasied the fry till about 2-3 cm and sold them to works out for a pritty good profit
yeah thnx guys, might pick myself up some when i find a home for my jewels
