Hey pplz <
>iv just discovered that my little turtle must have had a run in with one of my cattys a couple of days back and consequently gained a cut on his face which now has fungus all over it. Iv put him in a tank of his own now with a dose of meth blue. I hope this is alright for turtles. I was just unsure on what to do as i no that this problem can spread very rapidly. <
>Is it ok to use meth blue on turtles?<
>is there ne thing else i can get to help this poor guy out? <
>as much help as possible would be much appreciated, as i dont wanna lose this little guy.<
>thanx ppl<

Hey guys <
>i went into my LFS to buy the product u are suggesting and the guy talked me out of this product but instead insisted that i avoid chemicals on a reptile and use a simple salt treatment.<
>I took his advise as he seemed like a very nice guy and its not like hes ripping me off or nething as the salt is a hell of a lot cheaper than the other product.<
>Ne way i just wanted to know if ne one else would suggest the same and use salt as a healing devise instead of chemicals. <
>thanx heaps<

yeah i agree with the salt method even for fish disease and fungus. Called shock treatment. Put an affected freshwater fish into saltwater for about ten fifteen seconds, then put backinto freshwater vice versa for marine fish.Sound sketchy? Is supposed to shock the fungus / disease as it is either freshwater born or saltwaterborn and can not tolerate the opposite water difference.Fish will get a shock but if not too far into sickness/ disease it will recover, just make sure teps in water are the same - hope this helps.
