Title: Brisbane Auction has MOVED
Post by: Sigmaphile on October 08, 2006, 08:40:35 AM
I am sure someone more important than me will post this up as well.
The Brisbane Auction is not at Clayfield this time.

It has moved to St Jospehs College in Spring Hill.
Maybe a sign should be posted on the door of the old hall with some directions incase people turn up there by mistake.

285 Gregory Terrace, Spring Hill (corner of Victoria St)

PLEASE NOTE: [color=red:674b3ad48f]This falls into the CBD 2hr limit parking zone. [/color:674b3ad48f]
So if you park in the street, unless otherwise signed, expect a $50 parking ticket if parked for more than 2hrs.

I for one have experienced fines when parked in a seemingly ok spot while attending sport at the Gabba, which also falls into the CBD zone, both on a Saturday and Sunday.
I could says things about blatant revenue raising by the authorities, but I won't (oops I just did).

See here:

Hopefully there's parking in the college somewhere, but don't take the risk outside. Lots of ambiguous or unclear parking signs and many ways the council will find to get you - trust me!

Did anyone hear anymore about the change of venue - is it confirmed?
Nothing changed on the Diary dates as yet and still says Clayfield.
