Title: Sinking Driftwood
Post by: Otorix on October 14, 2006, 02:45:46 PM
I have some large pieces of driftwood i'm trying to sink before putting in a couple of 6ft tanks. I had them at the bottom of the swimming pool held down with rocks for over a week however afterwards they still float. Boiling them isn't an option as they are too big. Can't think of any other solution except leaving them in the pool for longer. Anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like a problem
how big r they?
You could try drilling a few holes  to get the water deeper in to the loge

Thats about all I can think of 4 now

The biggest is about 5ft and the smallest about 3ft. I guess i'll have to leave them for longer i just didn't think it would take so long!

Thanks.
