I was thinking the othere day (ya it happends once in a while lol)
With other hard to rase bn peps and that like
I was thinking if u put your harder to raise fry in with a dozen comman bn's
Would that help the others to find the food
I figer most fish like to school
So why carn't 1 help the other
andrew
It may work but I reckon that the more voracious common fry would out compete any finicky harder to raise species of fry.
no the commons will grow faster and because they do they let out some kind of toxin thing in the water to slow the slower ones down from growing if that makes sense. better off in their own big tank.
Thats a new 1 on me so how do the other fry from the same batch of bn's grow then
and with regular water changers stop this?
andrew
well that is why you will generally have fry that are at about 4cm will be 1cm larger then the others and they usually are turning out to be the males i am not sure about water changes although at a guess i would say that they would help. i read this a while ago when i first got into fish because i was addicted to bristlenose and kind of still am.
