hi all i am just about to get 30 2ft and 4ft tanks and was wondering if there is anyway i could get around using a heater as i live in a rental unit and only have a single garage so have not got the power points or the money to pay for that much electricity so how could i heat the tanks. they will be full of bristlenose and africans can i somehow heat the garage up keeping in mind that i am only renting it any help would be great thanks. thanks.
have them all plumbed up to a sump, have 1 big pump to pump water to the tanks and have some of the water pumped thru a big poly coil in a glassed cabinet facing the sun. The sun will heat the water during the day, and have 2 x 300w heaters in the sump.
Your cost for running the system is:
1 x 500w water pump (approx)
1 x 150w air pump (approx)
2 x 300w heaters
1 x 200w UV filter (optional but recommended)
But the cost of plumbing it up and having it done properly so that you and take the whole system apart to move it and be able to put it all together again is where the cost will be to start with.
PM me if you are interested.
Cheers,
dan
buy yourself a portable reverse cycle air cond. should do the trick nicely and u won't need it in summer anyway.
