if it''s white furry looking stuff, i get that occasionly growing, mainly on driftwood, harmless as far as i know, but don''t look so good.
could it be uneaten food? sometimes if a little lump of food doesn''t get eaten for some reason and ends up where I cant see it like under a log or something then a day or two after it''ll look like a white bit of wattle alright.<

Found a pic of it, how do i treat it???<

sure its hydra?? i''ve never heard of them being white before, they are usually green because of the chlorophyll in them. could be a type of fungus, like what Flash gets on his food <

Question is how do i treat it???
IF they are Hydra try this,<
>Two pieces of copper about 1 inch square connect a short lenght of insulated cable to each piece the other end to a 4volt battery put them opposit ends of the tank, leave for about 4 hours.<
>I used this on a tank of
eeding Corydorus, very successful, this was taken from a book published in 1958.
LMAO Are you sure???
QUITE SURE
Do you have the name of the book???<
><
>Cheers.
Hydra is only a problem if you are
eeding fish with very tiny fry (tetras, rasboras, fighters or gouramies).<
><
>Don''t knock some of the "old" cures, copper does kill hydra.<
><
>Back in the dinosaur days hydra was a bit of a problem when collecting live food from ponds for our Killi fish. A penny (old copper coin) in every tank fixed the hydra and also kept velvet (Oodinium) at bay.<

Was not knocking the old cures, just making sure.
The book is a UK print, by two aquarium owners,<
>ALL ABOUT TROPICAL FISH,<
>Published 1958,<
>IF they are Hydra it WILL work, I have used this method in the UK and OZ, If you venture up my area I will give you the set I made.<

Thanks Bert.
