Title: Quick Question
Post by: SheDevil2084 on November 08, 2006, 09:50:33 AM
I was just wondering what the normal amount for venustus to breed at one time??

My females are 15cm ish and just got our first mouthful from 2 of them and they both had about 70-80 babies each!!  8O  I was just wondering if this was normal or big for them cause I am used to yellows and lombardoi which have about 30-40.

So it was a big shock for me when I stripped her and got that many.

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers
Karen

hi karen,

that is fairly normal for them, notice how much smaller the fry/eggs are compaired to your yellow fry/eggs at the same age.
