Title: installing a latex background?
Post by: phagus on November 11, 2006, 06:49:02 PM
have a 6x2 "olgas" design background fromA'R'US,                                                                                         http://www.aquariumsrus.com.au/accessp.htm
should i just silicone it in and make it watertight (so no water go's behind the background) or should i let water go behind and pump it back to the tank?

how have others done it and any pics that might help would be good.
thanks
adam :)

I would make it watertight. When i had mine i let water water go behind it and it alwyas caused me grief with small fish going behind there. I ended up pulling it out and using silicon to hold it tight in place.

Then i found some sand that was same colour as the background and sprinkled it over the top of the silicon while wet to hide it...
